The Hochkönig ski resort in the mountains above the village boasts 120 kilometres of pistes and 34 state-of-the-art lifts and cable cars. Further down in the valley there are plenty of other options for those who want to try out something new. How about a bit of cross-country skiing? Or a winter hike through the snowy landscape? Quite simply breathtaking! That goes not only for the challenging hikes and mountain bike rides in the mountains around Maria Alm, but also for the views from the top of the mighty Hochkönig massif. From easy to extreme, the activities here in the Salzburger Land region offer something for everyone. Those who want to explore the mountains but don't fancy a long hike up can simply take the Natrun cable car right outside our hotel up into the heart of the Alps. There is also a hiking shuttle bus which stops right outside our hotel and brings walkers to many of the other cable cars and lifts in the region.
